Extracurricular Handbook

Middle School Sports:

Baker Middle School offers a variety of interscholastic and intramural athletics during a fall, winter, and spring sports season. Interscholastic athletics provide our athletes the opportunity to travel to other middle schools to compete, these teams are often referred to as travel teams. Athletes will try-out at the beginning of the season for the Volleyball and Basketball travel teams. Interscholastic teams include the following sports:  

• Cross Country
• Volleyball
• Football
• Basketball
• Wrestling
• Track
• Tennis

Our intramural programs provide opportunities for all athletes regardless of skill and ability. Intramural teams will focus on the basic fundamentals of the game, sportsmanship, and work ethic. They compete in tournaments and games hosted at Baker Middle School. Intramural teams include the following sports:

• Volleyball
• Basketball
• Cheerleading
• Golf
